Chateau Leoville Barton
Classified vintage 1855
In 1826, Hugh Barton concluded the purchase of 50 hectares of vines from the former Domaine de Léoville. These plots of vines, located in the heart of the Saint Julien appellation, are renamed "Léoville Barton". During the historical classification of 1855, the castle will be distinguished with the title of "Second Cru Classé". Many generations have succeeded at the head of the property and it is up to Anthony Barton to have raised the reputation of Château Léoville Barton to the current international level. The story of the Bartons continues to be written with his daughter, Lilian, supported by her two children, thus representing the 10th generation.
