On a terroir of sands and gravel, the estate is made up of 85 hectares of vines with dominant Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon but there is also Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. In the official 2003 classification, the estate was promoted to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur. The elaboration of the wines is supervised by Georges Pauli, famous winemaker of world reputation.

Today, after years of consolidation and efforts, the vineyard of the estate, which contains the plots that give the Château Tourteran also retained by Bernard Burtschy, is all in one piece, which promotes the quality of the harvest by avoiding travel and delays between harvest and the start of vinification.
