Treatments with plant infusions, grassy vines, energy independence thanks to our photovoltaic panels, sheep from the Landes, nesting boxes for blue tits and bats, lightweight glass bottles for a reduced carbon footprint, blind assembly... and new experiences every year. Why ?
First of all, we are convinced that we can improve the quality of our wines in this way. Then, we want to protect the richness of our terroir for a future that will continue to tell the story of the excellence of Haut-Médoc. Finally, we want to leave our 7 children a quality environment on a planet that is as healthy and generous as possible.
And then to receive in the vineyard, it is for us, to make like our wines as much as we like them; so to share the truth of our daily life... and our wines, it's up to you to choose your visit. What great encounters to come...

Assets

Children's activity (ies)

To best accommodate the youngest, Château Hourtin-Ducasse provides children with a ping-pong table, table football but also a space reserved for the little ones, not far from parents, with puzzles and coloring pages.
If you want more fresh air, a family treasure hunt on the “nature teams” of the estate is offered to you before the visit (to find out more about the work of each: sheep, bats, earthworms, etc.) .

Discovery of the vines

You will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the vineyard by an outdoor visit to the vineyard plots of the estate.

Environmental approach

Château Hourtin-Ducasse is committed to preserving and respecting the environment through its conversion to High Environmental Value and ISO14001 certification.
The estate has also set up: treatments with essential oils and herbal infusions, Landaise sheep on the plots for shearing as well as for fertilization, blue tit nesting boxes, bat nesting boxes, naturally grassed vines, weaving instead of trimming, energy independence (and a little more) thanks to our photovoltaic panels, lightweight glass bottles for a reduced carbon footprint.
