Independent and family property since 1952, it is the work of Hervé, then Henri Duboscq, who has raised Haut-Marbuzet to the rank of the best vintages of the appellation. Initially listed among the Crus Bourgeois of 1932, Haut-Marbuzet was promoted to the rank of Exceptional in the official 2003 classification. In 2009, the Liv-ex (London International Vintners Exchange) site proposed a review of the Bordeaux classification. In his list, he introduces Château Haut-Marbuzet as a potential fourth classified growth.
