Created in the 17th century, this 4th Grand Cru Classé was, following several successions, fragmented and dispersed. By luck and tenacity, in 1982, Henri Martin was able to reconstruct the property as it was known in 1855, the year of the famous classification. Since then, and thanks to the investment of the owners, Saint-Pierre is recognized by all as being a perfect representative of the Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Julien.

History and architecture

Its wine history dates back to the 1693th century. An estate considered to be one of the oldest in the Médoc. Indeed, from XNUMX, the archives attest to the existence of a wine estate, called “Serançan”, belonging to the Marquis de Cheverry.
In 1767, the Baron de Saint-Pierre acquired it, and according to the custom of the time, gave it his name. The story goes that the brave Baron counted on his patron saint to open wide the gates of paradise for him.
