The name "Château Haut Coteau" was created in 1908 by Jean Brousseau. From 1935 to 1988, the Haut Coteau was vinified and marketed in a cooperative cellar. Since 1989, in order to preserve the family heritage, Arlette and Jean-Pierre Bousseau have created the SCEA Château Haut Coteau. The vinification takes place at the property.
