The Médoc-Vignoble tourist office offers you a “performative” hike. Around the site Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Brion, a guide will accompany you on a 6,5 km route punctuated by the ephemeral works and bodily performances of the artist Benjamin begey.

Benjamin Begey is a Swiss artist living in Bordeaux. He combines contemporary art with the art of Feng Shui from installations / performances / videos.
These works, built exclusively on the basis of badminton shuttlecocks, consist in composing and breaking down shapes made according to the scenography and the specificity of the places, the cardinal points and other principles of Feng shui.

It sets up a practice of meditative and bodily creation through simple actions of picking up, carrying, depositing, building, doing and undoing. These poetic forms are unique and ephemeral, suggesting the idea of impermanence.

In an ecological gesture and through a recovery process inherent in my creation, I set up a loop for the recovery of used shuttlecocks with the clubs of the Ligue de Nouvelle Aquitaine Badminton, throughout the seasons. It is a form of sustainable development recognized by the French and Swiss Badminton Federation. I reuse the same flying materials, increasing the number since 2012.

“On August 18, we will visit the artistic flow that my imagination, my body and the places, have kindly revealed to me. The circuit is a loop, passing through the archaeological site of Brion to the remains of various public buildings, a theater and a Celtic temple, through green spaces, forests and dwellings. To venture through an unknown language which leads to unforeseen thoughts, on a personal and common course where one gets lost, forgets and finds oneself ”Billgraben.
