Château Pontoise Cabarrus is a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur located in the town of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne. Its origin dates back to the 1th century, when the Saint Seurin vintages were classified among the XNUMXst vintages of the Médoc.
The property has belonged to the Tereygeol family since 1959. The 28 ha of vines run along the edge of the Gironde Estuary on gravelly soils, favorable to Cabernet Sauvignon: a main grape variety in the Grands Crus of the Médoc.

History and architecture
The Château belonged to the Cabarrus family in the XNUMXth century, a family notably known for the influence of Thérésia Cabarrus during the French Revolution. Wife of Tallien and queen of the Directory, she took the Young Napoleon Bonaparte under her wing and witnessed, with Tallien, his marriage to Joséphine de Beauharnais.
