Château Léoville Poyferré is located in Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Médoc, 45 km north-west of Bordeaux.
The origin of the estate dates back to 1638. During the French Revolution, Léoville was the largest wine-growing property in the Médoc. Following various divisions and successions, Léoville Poyferré was born in 1840. Fifteen years later, the château was crowned with the famous classification of 1855 where it obtained the rank of Second Grand Cru Classé.
The doors of Château Léoville Poyferré are open to wine tourism. Our international team (French & American) is delighted to show the property and share our know-how with wine lovers from all over the world. We offer several tasting visit formulas, more or less technical for neophytes or enlightened amateurs. Do not hesitate to ask !
