The Tour de By Loop

Departure is from the car park located at the port of By. Walk along the grassy shoulder along the D2 for about 300 m, be careful. Direction the castle of the Tour de By.

Cross the D2, take the alley of the castle, enter the gate, then turn right to bypass the castle.

Go up the path through the vineyard, then turn left and go up the path towards the Tour de By. You have the possibility of stopping to visit it, you will contemplate a unique panorama on the Gironde.

After the Tower, turn right on the path in the middle of the vineyards and continue to the right on the Treytins road for about 700 m. Carefully cross the D2, continue straight on towards the estuary. Turn left, follow the edge of the estuary for 500 m, you will see squares with a superb view of the Charente.

Turn left, go down towards the D2. Carefully cross the D2 to catch up with the route du moulin de By. Continue straight on until the D3, cross the road carefully to reach the village of By for 2000 m, via the road to Greyssac to the road to By. Turn left, pass in front of the castle of Greysac.

Take the route de la Digue to the right then turn left over the bridge to take the Chemin de Labadie which will take you to the D3 for about 1000 m. Take the time to discover the flora and fauna (duck tonne, etc.).

At the exit of the communal path at the Port de By, cross the D3, continue straight ahead then turn right into the wooded alley to join the D3. Turn left to reach the Port de By to reach your starting point.
