A costume palace? one could imagine a somewhat dusty place haunted by models with fixed eyes: it is not!

This place is incredible and plunges the visitor into the “great” history of France through the ages and their costumes. But what is even more incredible than the place is the "guy" who is behind it all: Monsieur Mazarin.

Joseph Fragoméni alias “Mazarin”, famous Parisian fashion designer, created costumes for many actors of the cinema and the theater for more than 45 years. Having moved to Lesparre-Médoc, he decided to put all his talent at the service of the general public and of history by creating the “Palais du Costume”. He is often on site, ensuring the site visit himself, often in a suit and bow tie… what a joy! Obviously he will explain to you with passion each item of clothing and the history attached to it, but do not hesitate to let him talk about his Parisian life shared with the stars he dressed, such as Jodie Foster, Philippe Noiret, Jacques Villeret, Gérard Depardieu, Simone Signoret, Jeanne Moreau, Francis Huster, Jean-Claude Brialy, Guy Marchand, Jean Carmet and many others, he loves it.

Well it's true, plan a little time, the man is talkative and inexhaustible but what a meeting!
