Located in the middle of the vineyards, the Courrian windmill (also known as Blaignan or Caussan), property of Château la Tour Haut Caussan, is a Berton wing mill.
Restored in 1981, it still has its interior mechanism.
Berton wings are a technical improvement of the XNUMXth century. Formed of thin boards pivoting on saws articulated on the rods, they can be deployed and tightened at will. They are operated from inside the mill, thanks to a four-arm mechanism attached to the motor shaft, and eliminate the work of covering the wings.
In addition to the visit to the Castle, visit to the mill is possible on request.
Visit also possible on certain specific occasions (Mills Day for example).
