Under the vaults of the abbey the voices of happiness resound
There are events that you don't miss, the abbey's musical evenings are one of them. On Friday evenings in summer when it is very hot, the Romanesque abbey church of Vertheuil hosts concerts in the cool of its walls. Nicole, Rémi and the entire organizing team do not lock themselves into one style of music. An eclectic program renewed each year: Corsican polyphonic singing, opera, fado, Bulgarian songs, jazz… and if you still have any doubts about the quality of the concerts, rest assured the festival is labeled “Summer Scene in Gironde”. Another positive point is that the entrance fee is still very affordable.
A word of advice: we cannot say it enough, remember to book at the risk if not to stay in front of the front door.
