“Crazy” is really the term that best fits this international event. With the New York and Paris marathon, the “Médoc” is the 3rd most famous marathon in the world.
In 1984, five friends decided to organize an event starting from Pauillac. Like them, this marathon is one of good humor, conviviality, and celebration. It's a very serious race, a real 42.195 km marathon that crosses the major wine estates (Mouton-Rothschild, Latour, Lafite-Rothschild, Beychevelle, Pichon, Lynch-Bages, Cos d'Estournel ... and many others in the appellations of Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Saint-Estèphe ... But it is above all a marathon where it is mandatory dress up according to a different theme every year, a marathon where runners can taste wines, eat entrecote or oysters on the course, a marathon where the public celebrates with the runners to the rhythm of the 42 musical animations that punctuate the race.
